✨You’ve been shopping like a Disney Queen… but did you know France might actually owe you money? 👑💶
Between the Mickey plushies, sequin ears, mini mouse jumpers, and that lightsaber your child insisted was essential to survival... it’s safe to say your wallet has been on quite the ride at Disneyland Paris.
But here’s where things get magical.
💫 What if I told you that all those goodies you bought could actually PAY YOU BACK?Yep. There’s a lesser-known trick that non-EU visitors can use to reclaim some serious cash… and it’s not even complicated.
📲 Enter: SkipTax — the unsung hero of Disneyland Paris shopping. Think of it as your backstage pass to getting a juicy refund on all that park merch you lovingly carried home.
💡 So, what is SkipTax and why should you care?
It’s a VAT refund service that helps non-EU travellers claim back tax they legally don’t need to pay when shopping in France. And in the parks? That adds up FAST.
💰 We’re talking up to 80% back on what you’ve already spent. Not loyalty points. Not store credit. Real euros. In your bank. For real.
👀 Who qualifies?
✅ You must live outside the EU
✅ You need to have spent more than €100.01 (which, let’s be honest, is basically just looking around World of Disney or Emporium with your eyes open)
✅ You haven’t used the items yet (yes, this means resisting the urge to wear those new ears until after you’ve left France… I KNOW)
🪄 Here’s the easy-peasy magic-making process:
Download the SkipTax app – Use my exclusive code P97W2NDM for an extra 1% refund (you’re welcome, waffle fund 🍽️). It looks like this 👇🏼

Upload receipts in the app – Ideally on the same day you buy things. Don’t leave it till the airport/terminal/station!
Take clear photos of your receipts – If they’re blank or don’t show VAT, scribble your name and take a pic anyway. (It MAY be declined however)
Keep items unused – Even if it’s calling to you from the suitcase, wait until you’re out of the EU to use anything.
Validate your refund at a PABLO machine – Found at major train stations, ports and airports before you leave France. This is your golden ticket.
Receive your refund – Sometimes within hours, sometimes a few days. Either way, ka-ching. (or KA-CHOW!)

⚠️ Miss the validation step? No refund. No exceptions. And definitely no arguing with French customs officials. (They don’t care that you cried during Disney Tales of Magic)
🧭 WHERE to scan your barcode before leaving:
✈️ At airports: Look for the PABLO machine before security
🚆 At train stations like Lille Europe/Gare du Nord (and Le Shuttle): It’s AFTER security/checkin (yes, that makes no sense, but… France)
🚢For the ferry: It's in the terminal building, after check-in.
🌍 Departing the EU from somewhere else (like Spain or Belgium)? You’ll need to print your forms and get a physical customs stamp. Not as fun, but totally doable.

⚠️ Need-to-Know Extras:
🚫 No refunds on food, PhotoPass, hotel taxes or tickets🧾 Not all Disney shops print VAT-eligible receipts automatically — don’t be afraid to ask a Cast Member for help📦 Make sure your goodies are packed and ready to show customs if they ask — they’re not just there for decoration
Remember to download the app or have a look on the website and add in Referral code: P97W2NDM for your extra money back!
Because saving money at Disneyland Paris isn’t a dream — it’s just knowing how to do it right.
And when you’ve got me in your corner, you’re always a step ahead of the magic.✨
